We are very excited to announce the launch of the Skidmore Jazz Award, a partnership between Jazz Juniors and Skidmore Jazz Institute in upstate New York, reestablishing an opportunity for young musicians offered by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland from 1993 to 2010. Commencing 2025, we will offer a pre-professional instrumentalist aged 15 and over a full scholarship to attend Skidmore’s prestigious 2 week summer jazz programme, with all expenses paid for by Skidmore College and Jazzlife Alliance, thanks to several private sponsors. Some financial assistance will also be offered for an accompanying parent where necessary. Interested students will be supported by us in the application process and should get in touch by Friday 21st February.
